The documentaries described below reflect the stories and points of view KIP wishes to bring to a large diverse audience. By focusing on these stories KIP hopes to give voice to people and issues seldom listened to or seen.

DOCTEURS FEUILLES - HERBAL DOCTORS
A series of 4 films, from South Africa, Indonesia (Bali), Cuba and the USA (Amerindians), about traditional medicine derived from plants from these regions. The films focus on the relationship between these medicines and Western medicine and suggest the benefits of harmonizing the two systems for the health of the populations of these countries (PHOTOS).

OUSMANE BALDÉ ET LES PETITS VENDEURS DE CONAKRY - OUSMANE BALDÉ AND THE LITTLE STREET-SELLERS OF CONAKRY (Guinea)
A 52'-documentary describing the system of initiating Peul children in commerce, from the point of view of Peul society which allows them to adapt to the urban world while preserving certain aspects of traditional education. Ousmane Baldé, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Guinea, began, like the young children of Conakry, selling small articles.

OBJETS INDUSTRIELS FONT OBJETS D'ART - INDUSTRIAL OBJECTS TRANSFORMED INTO ART
(The art of recycling) (North /South)

A series of 13 short films on the theme of the creation of objects from waste materials in different countries from the global south.

CUBA CHÉRIE - BELOVED CUBA (Haïti / Cuba)
A documentary on the presence of Haitians in Santiago de Cuba after the Haitian revolution. The film will examine the cultural and socio-political impact that the Haitian community has had on Cuban society over these two centuries (PHOTOS).

L'ITINÉRAIRE - THE COMMUTE (USA)

A documentary about the integration of minority group children visible in elite private schools in the city of New York.

LE LIVRE ET LA VIE - LIVING BOOKS ( France / Guadeloupe)

A documentary exposing the relationship between writers and their public on the island of Guadeloupe.

L'HYPOTHÈSE DE LA MÉSALLIANCE - THE HYPOTHÉSIS OF BAD MATCH
( France / USA / Haiti)

A documentary about the impact of colour and race on contemporary Haitian culture and society as seen through the eyes of two Haitian families (PHOTOS)

L'UNIVERSITÉ LUMUMBA - LUMUMBA UNIVERSITY
( France)

This film retraces the trajectory of former students of Lumumba University in Moscow, famous for having received many students from Third World countries.

KALUNGA NOVA (France / Brazil)

The documentary explores the lives of afrobrazilian adolescents from isolated quilombo communities in their quest to migrate to the metropolis cities of Brazil  (PHOTOS).

MELHOR SER ARTISTA QUE TRAFICANTE

The documentary explores the trial and tribulations of young black artists from the favelas of Rio engaged in music, circus, theatre and cinema projects, for whom art offers a possibility of socio-economic recognition previously only obtainable through crime.
